before i start on how awesome foa was,

but,FOA (:
how can i put this all into words, without diminishing the actual feeling, that great, indescribable feeling that i felt when i was at home lying on my bed thinking damnit it's over. today i couldn't stop thinking about how awesome every single item was, couldn't stop watching the videos from my sister's cam, couldn't stop playing the crappy quality rehearsal videos/recordings from my phone, couldn't stop smiling every time i talked about someone or some item.
it may not have been the best we've ever played, but it just felt wonderful performing again :D i was so careful to treasure every minute of the day, and it is so amazing how that changes everything.

first there was the surprise minutes before the concert, when erik accidentally told me that brenda bought a ticket from him and told him not to tell me. then peiyi said alex bought a ticket from him and told him not to tell me too. (well okay, peiyi told me on thursday i think, but i didn't get it -.-) and i walked onstage and saw amanda with daryl and i was like, ohhh mann. i swear i've never been so ecstatic i couldn't stop smiling. WHEEEE I LOVE MY FRIENDS :D

then concert started and all the pieces just passed so quickly i swear. rehearsals seemed like eternity in comparison. & backstage was so fun, with edward and daniel and their dancing, if that's the term for it. ((: and erik with his whole serious face because he was 'mentally preparing himself' for his solo ended up looking like some petulant rich kid from a manga. must be the suit haha! ughh i really need to cultivate the habit of bringing a camera with me whereever i go and be shameless about taking videos and photos. and all the guys smartened up in their suits, the transformation is really quite amazing. my sister says i'm a damn lucky girl. in comparison to her 2 years in nj band. hmm.

and then there was intermission :D ie, when i saw brenda and alex and daryl and amanda and munching <333 but i swear, i am going to grow super fat from everything. but nvm they are awesome. the flowers were gorgeous, the jar of the natural confectionary co. sweets from brenda was absolutely heartwarming, and the godiva chocolates with the rose from daryl was super sweet! albeit definitely fat-inducing. but the fact that they came, and the whole surprise they pulled off just made me dammnn happy.

then all the small groups came up and did their thing, they were all fantastic in their own ways. standing at the back with erik and eugenia and watching all of them made me feel so proud to know them (: if you were one of those performing, trust me, you were awesome. joshua mark and alvin were stunning, every single person in the cpa was awed i swear. mark and alvin had great stage presence too, and joshua uh had everyone distracted by how amazing his shredding was, so i dont think his relative lack of body movement or facial expression was noticed. haha but yyz was a lot less stone, and during cliffs of dover erik was like 'okay, he's back to stoning'. haha. edward kevin and zhanfeng were really entertaining, everyone loved them, esp all the sound effects they were hilarious. they brought the sounds you can make with the guitar to a new level. daniel and peiyi with daughters were fantastic and i think everyone is in love with daniel's voice now. and yes, my mom is crazy about the song now. if my parents loved the item, it's gotta have been really good :D then andre and ian with bright lights got my sister crazy over the song. -.- and finally eugene, with what a wonderful world and blue moon, was wonderful. his tone was really nice for what a wonderful world, when he played it it was like, awwww. then blue moon had just the right feel, had me bobbing my head and now it is still stuck in my head. ahh well.

wave and csardas were pretty good too, considering that my sister thought csardas was good even though tanya and i could barely keep up for the first few runs. beatles and el bimbo were just so much fun, it was the perfect way to end the concert. (:

after the concert, got all the amazing flowers (if celery and carrots can be included). a huge bouquet from tim that probably cost a bomb but is positively lovely, another from mari that is damn pretty but i have no idea what it's called. but it is damn pretty. mr gaspar and mr lim were so jealous haha. then of course, how could i miss out, the celery and bag of carrots for good eyesight from joelynn. sigh, she is special in that way. :D

how could i forget to say this. THANK YOU to all those who came down to support me (: thanks brenda amanda munching alex daryl for the surprise. i can't stop smiling every time i think of what y'all did. thanks mari for the beautiful flowers, and for coming down (: it means a lot to me that you came down. (: thank you tim for the flowers, and the bag; it was very thoughtful of you :D and not forgetting gareth, jonas, j lee, and wesley - thanks for the encouraging smses! and clement for the wall post (:

and so that was the end of foa. lots of wonderful memories, hope i'll never forget them. cheers to another awesome year in GO :D and GWH in SYF! :DD
