CENTRESTAGE :DD
but first, bio lessons in the morning, mugged 3 hrs of huckfinn, trooped down to the (not-very-)funorama to meet zes and yvonne, dinner at holland v, then CENTRESTAGEEE :D
hahah. oh man it was fun. well, at least the first part + the super random banglah scenes & yvonne mak (!!) in wannabe terrorist was (: mrt train was seriously non-stop laughter, it was just awesome. the sound effects, lighting, script (omg absolutely intelligent. &i loved the parent scene.xD),ACTING (yiping and edward were amazing D;) everything was so perfect. the slapping scenes were like, ouchhhhhh though. :/ coffeeshop incident was..very typical ac humor, thoroughly enjoyable (duh.)throw in the ib jokes, the illegal immigrant, ronald as margaret (>.<)..you can imagine.
rar. i would pay to see it again.
but darn. school just HAS to start on monday. nyehhh.
meanwhile, huckfinn beckons. :D taa.

life's moving on too fast. i need to slowww dowwn. i want another holiday.
CAN'T WAIT FOR CENTRESTAGE!
rar i wish school life was just, watching drama, lit (hamlettt please come quickly), guitar concerts, and vsepr. whatever that makes me happy.
and yay for cheap thrills. i'm dammmnn happy about econs essay. i think it's a good start for econs! and lit's going prettyyy well, save the awful engA2 classtest 1 results, doesn't really matter to me, as long as i do well for mock iop and YAY for hard times essay! :D okay this probably isn't making sense to non-ac people, but basically i absolutely love doing well in all the non-graded stuff >< i tend to think they're better indicators of my ability :D
rar. cross fingers and toes and hope this term goes well.
BURN CHEM IA BURN.

baby i'm backkkk.
I've been having this nagging feeling of late that i should just get myself a blog. that's actually maintained. not for narcissitic means i hope, but a way of keeping in touch with my feelings, to chart my growth as a person, and also to keep in touch with the people i love. then again, whatever.
& i just read the comments i got on my previous post, and they made me want to cry. i just sat there and read and reread the comments for half an hour and God knows, it's His grace that He's given me friends like these. how many people can actually say they have friends who've been through the same struggles, faced the same insecurities, and always know what to say to make you feel better. friends who say exactly what you need to hear, who are able to encourage and comfort with the sincerity of friendship? praise Him for awesome friends!
on another note, something that's been troubling me for a pretty long while.
you know, Christians are called to testify for Christ, to evangelise, to make disciples of all nations, as in the Great Commission, but somehow i just can't bring myself to go up to people and share with the passion that others have about how Christ has worked in their lives. I'd like to think that teaching younger Christians how to live out their faith in their everyday life is a form of evangelism. I don't know how it counts, but I'd really rather teach the youths in hebron than join cf and evangelistic events. i mean, our youths need spiritual guidance, and that's pretty evident. it's quite obvious that they're putting emphasis on a lot of physical things. and if they're studying, it's for the wrong reasons.
but then again, who am i to judge and say that i am any better off? i'm the one who has 15 min of QT per day and a whole lot of hours studying. i'm the one who falls asleep in the morning praying that i'll be serious about dedicating my life to Him. I'm the one who chose bio olympiad over joining cf. i'm the one who might very well (and very likely) leave ykg because of a lack of time on weekends; worship prac on sat, chem tuition & tennis on Sun..add my irregular sleeping hours (unusually long or unusually short), and my weekends are basically burned.
so it comes to the question of, what the h*ll am i doing about my walk with God? i want to use these 2 yrs to become a Christian that's spiritually mature so that I can guide the youths in hebron. i want to experience hardships for my faith, i want to question it and come out stronger. so that if others find themselves with the same questions that i once did, i can at the very least share my reasons for holding on to my faith. that's my aim, of course, but i know it's ultimately His decision, what i'm gonna be doing in hebron 2 yrs from now.
on a lighter note, speaking of decisions, I'm so glad i'm in guitar and not council or anything else. go's sth i actually look forward to every week, there's just sth abt practice that makes me happy (: maybe it's the conductor, the privilege of playing alongside some really awesome guitarists, the thrill being able to catch up with them sometimes (xD!), the people in the main ensemble...hahahh. guitar is just awesome. and i'm starting to love classical guitar so much more that i ever have, ever did in rgge. OMG CSSP PLEASE DO NOT SCREW UP MY JAPAN TRIP. i will be dammnnn pissed off. and i swear i will. be at a complete loss of what to do, really. there are promises, commitments, friendships, and trust involved that i will absolutely not want to abandon with choosing one over the other. that, i swear, will be the biggest screwup of the century, really. apart from my ee failing on me, that is.
and my class. OMG. i've got great friends like brenda and people i can't stop laughing with/at/being laughed at by. like darren -.- but the nagging sense that i'm being viewed as a competitor doesn't really go away -.- i mean, just study together laa. compare for what. right. i mean you can really tell, when two different ppl ask you the exact same qn like what did you get for english, whether they're expecting any particular grade from you. and it's this expectation that i'm not particularly fond of. then again, should have expected it when i moved over. >< but, thank God for blessings, i have people who do their homework in class so i can check (: && i really need to learn how to ask good questions. and how to verbalize myself so a particular madam with a PhD in irish literature actually understands what i'm talking about. i.e., get my frickin slow brain to work better under stress and fasterrrr!
talking about lit, i'm pretty annoyed that mending wall got scrutinized in such microscopic detail. yeah, i guess i lack a certain appreciation of details like how um there's a pun on the word 'good', of which i refuse to agree with still. but it doesn't mean i'm an inferior quality lit student or sth, right. or does it. i guess it's me getting all touchy and selfish about the way i interpret a text and wanting people to agree with my interpretation all the time, but i really liked mending wall a hell lot more than before we had that lesson. i guess it's me putting a whole lot of emphasis on the part that spoke to me the strongest. how inside all of us there's the incredible need to form bonds with people, to make deep friendships, to connect with each other, yet we just keep putting up walls between us, out of caution, a need to protect ourselves from god-knows-what. it's this frustration that i've dealt with so many times in just these 3 months. & "something there is that doesn't love a wall" just keeps popping up in my head at these moments.
haha this post has been nothing short of disjointed, blame it on the accumulated reflections on my move to ac and surviving on 4h of sleep every day. and a particular incident. that made me wonder again why on earth i'm trying to revive my blog. see, if baring your soul to the world in an effort to make others understand, to prevent misunderstandings, to live without pretense for once, makes you so much more vulnerable to attack, makes people change their perception of you, kills a potential friendship, then... make your own conclusions. hah.
Are we happy plastic people
Under shiny plastic steeples
With walls around our weakness
And smiles to hide our pain
But if the invitation's open
To every heart that has been broken
Maybe then we close the curtain
On our stained glass masquerade.
